Description Startling Odyssey
In Startling Odyssey, the player takes the role of a young boy named Leon. One day, his home village is attacked by monsters. His best friend is killed, and the most powerful mage in the village is turned to stone and kidnapped by the leader of the monsters. Leon receives the blessing of the village elder and begins his quest to avenge his friend's death and defeat the demonic forces that threaten the land.
The game is a fairly traditional Japanese RPG, with all the familiar ingredients: Leon (and his companions who later join the party) roam the world map, entering towns and dungeons, buying equipment and items, and facing enemies that appear randomly in turn-based combat. Battles are viewed from the first-person perspective. Characters can use both normal attacks and magic spells, and battles can also be set to automatic.
