Street Hawk

Street Hawk is a video game in the action genre developed by Ocean Software Ltd. and published by Ocean Software Ltd. originally released in 1986. It is currently playable on Amstrad CPC.

After an intense 18-month research program, Jesse Mach's superbike is finally ready to hit the streets.

Jesse has sworn to avenge the death of his best friend, and embarks on a mission to take down villains whoever they may be. But Jesse need look no further than the street. The bad guys drive XR3s, so all it takes is a laser blast into the XR3's fuel tank, and the cars are immobilized.

Zooming in, the player has to serve through traffic, dodging bullets fired by the bad guys and taking out cars full of criminals while being careful not to kill innocent citizens. In addition to the built-in lasers, Jesse's motorcycle can jump in the air, and a well-timed spring can avoid a collision. A crash or a blast from a villain's gun is not fatal, as the bike can take quite a bit of damage before being immobilized. Reckless driving is not tolerated, and if too many civilians are killed, the police will be out in pursuit. If the police catch up with the motorcycle, the game is over. However, the turbo function can be used to make a quick getaway.

After driving, the player must keep an eye on the gauges that indicate the status of the lasers, the damage inflicted on the motorcycle and the engine temperature. Points are awarded for each villain's car that is blown up and for each civilian that is overtaken. While driving, Jesse receives a message about a robbery at the liquor store. It behooves him to take it easy so he can get there safely.

At the liquor store, he must destroy three villains who run out of the store and try to escape in their getaway van. You have to shoot all the villains before starting the second mission. This mission involves another chase sequence, only this time a high bonus is awarded for killing a major underworld figure driving a black sedan. Once the sedan is destroyed, Jesse and his motorcycle can return to the base for an overhaul to begin the major confrontation with the leader. To complete the game, the leader must fly out of his Porsche.
