Description Sum Ducks
Sum Ducks is an educational game for children from 8 to 12 years old.
In the game there is a pool with several ducks swimming around, each duck marked with a number. You are given a target number which is displayed on the marker at the top of the screen. As the ducks swim, you can throw a ring around a duck which will cause its number to be added to the equation on the scoreboard. Your goal is to create an equation which will result in the desired number (you must be exact and you cannot overdo or underdo it). Depending on the variation of the game, you have to achieve the goal by addition, subtraction, multiplication or division. For example, in the addition game you may be given a target of 50; if you throw a ring around 5 ducks, each marked with a 10, you win that round.
Sometimes ducks can be tricky and may poke their heads out of the water; if that duck has a number you need, you will first have to throw a ring at the duck to get it to raise its head again. Also in the division game, if you ring a duck that has a number that is not a factor of the target, that duck will go underwater until the next game. In addition to the ducks, occasionally a hippo will appear in the water and offer a number; sometimes this can help you, if so you can toss a ring to the hippo to get the number. The game has easy and difficult skill levels.
