Swamp Fever

Swamp Fever is a video game in the action genre and published by Players Software originally released in 1987. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

In the swamps of Florida, a nuclear waste leak has caused the mutation of a hitherto unknown plant species called Aisuru Flower. Scientists have now launched an expedition to locate these flowers in order to conduct experiments on them. The task has been entrusted to a certain Professor Oddbod, who must go into the poisoned area and collect as many plants as possible. This will not be as easy as it seems, as the radiation has caused the mutation of many other species, such as the horrible man-eating flytraps and other types of monsters that call the swamps their home.

Swamp Fever is a horizontal scrolling shooter game. The player takes control of Professor Oddbod from a top-down perspective and has to navigate the swamps in search of rare Aisuru flowers. There are 35 flowers and the player gets points for each flower. The swamp is full of dangerous creatures from which the player has to defend himself with his weapon. If the teacher comes in contact with them he will lose energy and when all the energy is exhausted the mission will have to be aborted and the game will be over.
