You will find Kate Walker continuing her journey exactly where the first game, Syberia, ended. Instead of returning to her life as a New York lawyer, Kate chooses to travel with Hans Voralberg to the frozen northern lands of Syberia aboard his futuristic train.
Kate, Hans and Oscar, the humorous automaton, will travel through four locations on their way to mythical Syberia, where Hans believes the ancient race of mammoths still exists. As the three make their way through the harsh but beautiful winter landscapes, many obstacles will stand in their way. The player has to talk to the people Kate meets and solve situational, inventory and mechanical puzzles. The single cursor interface and visual style (3D character models and prerendered backgrounds) are very similar to the original game.
