Tale of a Hero is a video game in the adventure genre developed by Future Games s.r.o. and published by Noviy Disk originally released in 2008. It is currently playable on Windows.

Tale of a Hero is a fantasy/fairy tale adventure developed in an old school style. Despite its low-budget production, it offers about 15 hours of gameplay with classic adventures and subtle, gentle humor in the dialogues with non-traditional characters.

In this game you embody the young fisherman Olaf, son of the famous dragon slayer who was cast out by his king for being unwilling to raise a war over the monarch's foolishness. After his father's death, Olaf took over the business of killing monsters, but instead of killing them he found many ways to get along with them and turn them into beneficial neighbors for the villagers. His happy life is disrupted when one of his father's most powerful adversaries, the ice giant Krugell, returns to the world of men seeking revenge for his murdered brother.

You control Olaf with the classic point-and-click interface. In this game you can't run, but a double click on the exit will immediately transport you to the next room (as in other Future Games games). There are no action sequences and you can't die in this game.
