Six years after destroying an alien force in Warhawk you are now retired on the planet Sloar with the cute animals playing arcade games but you are very bored. The opportunity has come once again from the Intergalactic Federation to destroy an alien force that has invaded and taken over the planet Tanium. In your stealth fighter 'Quariad' you must fly over the surface of the planet through several levels shooting and dodging various waves of alien ships. At the end of a level you will be confronted by a snake-like creature that must be destroyed. If you touch or are shot at by an alien ship, you will lose one of three lives. If you lose them all, it's game over.
Tanium is a horizontal scrolling shooter game viewed from the side with the screen constantly scrolling.
