Description Tearaway Thomas
You control Thomas, a strange-looking but vaguely cute animal, in an ultra-fast platform game. There are 50 levels, divided into 5 groups of 10.
Each has a certain number of gems, and your task is to collect a certain number of them (for example, level 2 has 55 and you need at least 40) and then find the exit, all within the time limits. Yellow gems are worth 50 points and purple ones 100, although purple ones don't seem to be more precarious, and the total makes no distinction, so this is by color more than anything else. Once you get the required amount, the gems double in value, tempting you to keep exploring.
The levels are infested with adorable looking baddies, such as birds and bears, which you can't kill, and which you have to avoid, as contact with them costs you time as Thomas gets up. You can jump on the heads of some of them, which gives a small points bonus. The layouts include ropes to climb, moving platforms, and more. Some levels are completely vertical scrolling, where you advance along tree ledges or similar.
If you run out of time, you lose a life, but the level doesn't restart, so you keep the number of gems collected and have a new time. This means you are much less likely to lose a second life in the level, just like in Chase HQ.
