Tennis Arena is a video game in the sports genre developed by Smartdog and published by Ubi Soft Entertainment Software originally released in 1998. It is currently playable on SEGA Saturn.

This 1998 release sees a varied cohort of tennis stars representing different countries with each having their own distinct playstyle. Their play skill and abilities vary from offensive to defensive shots as they execute a variety of powerful strokes to outplay their opponents. Most notably, the ability to shove a powerful strike, called the "Ultimate Smash" which is capable of freezing opponents in their tracks, gives the player a real competitive edge.

In-game features include doubles play with a friend and the ability to customize the look and pause of the courts. The environments of the courts can be adjusted to change the height of the ball bounces, the type of surface and net height, etc. which gives players more interesting options when doing battle.

Single players can also challenge themselves with the various AI difficulty modes depending on their level of experience. With 10 levels of challenge, perfecting your play style is an addictive and befittingly rewarding task.

Aside from the multiplayer modes, Tennis Arena has a comprehensive versus mode which mimics a career mode wherein they compete with progressively tougher opponents and unlock new courts and characters in a quest to become a championship player.
