Tenshi no Uta

Tenshi no Uta is a video game in the role-playing (rpg) genre developed by Riot and published by Telenet Japan Co., Ltd. originally released in 1991. It is currently playable on TurboGrafx CD.

Kearu, a young warrior from the land of Erin, is commissioned by his village elder to protect Krea, a young girl who was found near the entrance of the village as a baby. The young couple is tasked with retrieving and delivering to the king a magical flower known as Eureka. However, on their way to the castle, they are attacked by a winged monster, which carries Krea away. Kearu realizes that this abduction was not accidental, and that it had something to do with Krea's mysterious origin.

Tenshi no Uta is a traditional Japanese-style role-playing game. As in most games of this genre, the player navigates his party of heroes through the world map from top to bottom, fighting randomly appearing enemies, gaining experience to keep leveling up automatically and money to buy better weapons, armor and items. Battles are viewed from a first-person perspective, with enemy graphics overlaid on the exploration screen (as in Cosmic Fantasy 2). The game has conventional HP and MP bars, and heroes learn various attack, support, and healing spells based on their level.

There is a day and night cycle in the game. Stores are closed at night, and certain characters only appear at a certain time of day.
