Description TetraVex
On the left, a blank 2D grid, by default 3x3. On the right, a set of tiles, each with numbers in the four directions of the compass (hence Tetra). Your goal? To place each tile on a point on the grid so that each of its numbered faces matches the numbered faces of the tiles touching it, as quickly as possible. There is a tile for each grid position and there is one and only one location where it will fit correctly in the grand scheme (hence Vexation).
TetraVex was distributed in Microsoft Entertainment Pack 3 and later in the Best of Microsoft Entertainment Pack; a standalone reimplementation later appeared as part of Gnome Games.
