The Dreadnaught Factor

The Dreadnaught Factor is a video game in the action genre developed by Cheshire Engineering and published by Activision, Inc. originally released in 1983. It is currently playable on Intellivision, Atari 8-bit.

Zorban Dreadnaughts are spaceships that are 140,000 feet long and weigh 970 megatons, making them the largest and most heavily armored spaceships ever created. A fleet of these large battleships is heading towards your planet, and it's your job to stop them! The game is played from a side-scrolling aerial viewpoint as your small but agile spaceship flies between the dreadnaughts. On each pass of your spaceship, you have to try to bomb as many energy conduits as possible. When all the energy conduits of a dreadnaught are destroyed, it will explode. However, time is limited, and if you make too many passes to destroy the energy vents, the dreadnaught will come within firing range of your home planet and destroy it. Each of the dreadnaughts is heavily armed; cannons, cannons, missiles and other weapons are found on each dreadnaught and will do their best to finish your mission. Multiple skill levels are included that modify the number of dreadnaughts you must destroy, as well as their speed and firepower.
