Description The Interceptor
The aliens are here, and they are bent on razing city after city to the ground, indiscriminately dropping bombs from orbit on everything that stands. The only defense against the aliens' obvious aversion to Earth architecture is The Interceptor: a flying craft armed with rockets, which launch upward to shoot down the trigger-happy UFOs; and side cannons, which fire projectiles to dispatch the descending bombs.
The Interceptor goes from city to city to repel waves of alien attacks. It takes damage from direct hits and has a finite supply of ammunition, but can be repaired and resupplied by landing on a landing pad. To clear a level, you must shoot down all enemy ships; in addition to conventional bombs, the aliens carry two more dangerous types: nuclear bombs (red), which can instantly level a city, and fusion bombs (blue), which destroy everything in the air if they detonate, including The Interceptor.
Points are awarded for destroying the alien ships, but every shot and every object destroyed by the aliens will subtract points from the final score. The more buildings (and trees) left standing, the better.
