Description Thunderbirds

Thunderbirds is a single player puzzle solving game.

It seems that a group of Egyptologists have managed to get trapped in the depths of an ancient tomb. They are in big trouble because their air supply is running low. Naturally, they call in International Rescue, which springs into action.

This is primarily a puzzle game. It starts before takeoff with the player selecting the equipment to be loaded on Thunderbird 2, which can only carry forty tons and each ton of equipment costs the player one hundred points. Should the Mole be taken? What about Thunderbird 4? Should extra fuel be carried?

The loaded ship, once launched, arrives at the tomb and must fly through a series of mazes that compose it, but it is not simple. The path is often blocked and must be cleared. Thunderbird 1 can move the blue blocks out of the way, Thunderbird 2 can move the green blocks and both can move the red blocks and, as a further complication, some passages are too narrow for Thunderbird 2 to get through.

Another puzzle feature is fuel management, flying consumes fuel but fortunately a previous expedition left fuel dumps scattered around. There are also treasures to collect.
The game can be played on color or black and white monitors, the F7 key changes the hue of the colored blocks so the player can distinguish them. The game can be played with the keyboard or with the joystick.
