Time Warriors

Time Warriors is a video game in the action genre developed by Silmarils and published by MPO Multimídia originally released in 1997. It is currently playable on DOS.

A 3D polygonal fighting game, Time Warriors pits eight fighters from eight different times and places against each other: Yrwen the Celt, armed with a long sword, Hysis the Egyptian, wielding two sabers, Molloch the barbarian with his battle axe, Sultan Iz-Baal with his scimitar, Shodan the samurai and his katana, from a Chinese monastery Dong brings only a staff, Olof the Viking plans to smash his opponents with a war hammer, and Apokles the Spartan brings a double-edged sword.

The gameplay is similar to other games of the same genre: two buttons control the weapon and two others control the kicks, as both have a 'fast' and a 'strong' variant. Combos are performed with quick key presses or sequential movements, and when taking damage, the fighter accumulates magic points that can be used to perform a destructive special attack. As in Virtua Fighter, if a fighter falls out of the fighting arena, he loses from the ring out. The usual options are included, such as fight duration, number of fights, difficulty level and auto-lock.

Graphically, the game can be adjusted to run on various settings, disabling the more advanced graphical options, such as stage objects, real-time light and shadow calculation and textures.
