Tokusō Kidōtai JSWAT is a game that was released by SEGA for their Saturn console in 1996. Developed by Silicon Dreams, this game is based on the popular Japanese manga and anime series, Mobile Police Patlabor. Unlike many other games of its time, JSWAT offers a unique blend of RPG and action elements, making it a standout title on the SEGA Saturn.

Set in futuristic Tokyo, players take on the role of a member of the JSWAT (Japan Special Weapons and Tactics) team, tasked with protecting the city from dangerous and advanced robots called Labors. The game follows the main storyline of the Patlabor series, with players facing off against familiar enemies and working alongside characters from the series.

One of the standout features of JSWAT is its customizable gameplay. Players have the freedom to choose their character's gender, appearance, and abilities, allowing for a truly unique gaming experience. Moreover, the game offers multiple endings, depending on the choices made by the player throughout the game.

The gameplay itself is fast-paced and action-packed, with players engaging in intense battles against powerful Labors. However, JSWAT also incorporates RPG elements, allowing players to level up their character and acquire new skills and abilities. This adds an extra layer of strategy to the game, making it more than just a mindless action title.

The graphics of JSWAT are impressive, especially for its time. The character models are well-designed and detailed, and the environments are immersive and futuristic. The game also features impressive cutscenes, which further add to the overall experience.

In addition to the main storyline, JSWAT also offers a variety of side missions and challenges for players to complete. This adds to the replay value of the game, as there is always something new to discover and experience.
