Tom and Jerry: The Movie

Tom and Jerry: The Movie is a video game in the action genre developed by SIMS Co., Ltd. and published by SEGA Enterprises Ltd. originally released in 1992. It is currently playable on SEGA Master System.

Just like in the popular cartoon series, Tom the cat returns to chase Jerry the mouse. The player takes on the role of Tom, a curious cat who will do anything to get his claws on that troublesome mouse, Jerry. Tom tries to catch Jerry as he runs through six different levels. Starting in the kitchen, Jerry will take Tom through the garden, the city center, the forest, the rock mountain and finally end up in the nursery.

Jerry will do everything he can to keep Tom from catching him. Even if that means running through dangerous areas. Tom must try to dodge tail-burning stoves, falling flower pots, falling rocks, and even climb skyscrapers and swim underwater, all while trying to catch that mischievous rodent. Not only that, Jerry will also drop bombs and leave land mines in Tom's path.

Be careful, if Jerry gets too far ahead and gets out of the way, the game is lost. But, if Tom is able to get close enough, he can pounce on Jerry and thus advance to the next level. You can also get to the next level by chasing Jerry to the end of the round, where he will be cornered. There are also damage points taken away from Tom as he is hit by the number of dangerous environments around him. Too many hits will also result in a game over.
