Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell is a video game in the action genre developed by Ubi Soft Entertainment Inc. and published by Gameloft S.A. originally released in 2003. It is currently playable on N-Gage.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, released in 2003, was a revolutionary title in the franchise of games bearing the same name. It featured a level of stealth and suspense that had never previously been brought to a third-person stealth-action title. Players were cast in the role of government agent Sam Fisher, tasked with securing sensitive data in a world filled with terrorist threats and deep political intrigue.

The game incorporated total 3D lighting and shadows as well as interactive and destructible environments into the mix for an intense black-ops gameplay experience. Sam's environment-based combat also featured the ability to silently skulk and disarm his enemies. The N-Gage version of the game lets players navigate these unique environments and complete dozens of missions across five levels set in France, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Indonesia.

The graphics of the game held up surprisingly well for the N-Gage, with the immersive artificial intelligence allowing for challenging and unpredictable opponents. Even more remarkable was the gameplay, which allowed for a wide array of new playstyles. Players were able to control Sam with precision as he navigated the levels, using acrobatic moves to avoid and ambush opponents.

In addition, intriguing tidbits of information were scattered throughout the game, allowing for an even more interactive and cinematic game experience. Voice clips and mission briefings, coupled with an appropriate soundtrack, set the mood for an intense gaming experience.

Splinter Cell on the N-Gage was an impressively ambitious title for its time, and a notable achievement for the team behind it. It remains a highly enjoyable gaming experience to this day.
