Trigger Happy

Trigger Happy is a video game in the action genre and published by CRL Group PLC originally released in 1988. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

You are Flight Commander McCoy and after saving the Thundercross ship you have been given a new mission from Space Control 25 to destroy 32 giant spaceships high in the Stratosphere. In your Advanced Flight Capsule (AFC) you must fly alongside each ship and destroy most of the exterior of the ship. This will include anything protruding, such as blocks, shields and, most importantly, their defenses, especially since these will shoot back at you. You have a gun, but you can only shoot if you move the ship and you cannot move it while shooting. You only get one shot at destroying all 32, as you have one life, but you have a shield that decreases if you hit an object or bullet. If you die beyond ship one, you will receive a password to start over from that ship.

Trigger Happy is a horizontal shoot-em-up viewed from the side with the screen scrolling from left to right constantly. Since you are flying next to the ships, everything is behind you, so you shoot everything that sticks out. A joystick is used to control your AFC.
