Description Turbo the Tortoise
After Dr. Mulliner and his assistant Beckett make a mistake while using cybernetic technology prototypes, Mulliner's pet turtle Wal is given superpowers. The only way to build a working machine is for this turtle to travel through time and collect the necessary pieces from six time periods (Prehistory, Ice Age, Egypt, Middle Ages, 20th Century and the Future).
Taking the role of Turbo the Tortoise, the player must traverse six levels of side-scrolling platforms, each well guarded by enemies. Limited weaponry can be picked up, though jumping on the heads of these enemies will also kill them. Turbo must account for moving platforms, switches, fragile platforms and water obstacles. Upgrades and extra lives are in hard-to-reach places, often only accessible by using enemy heads as launching pads.
