Tycoon is a management game coded in Fast BASIC. The game area consists of two islands that are yours (and your competitors') to exploit. The objective of the game is to earn as much money as possible by mining, drilling for oil and gas or trading stocks. Events occur in real time during the game, but the player or players have to press the next button to execute turn orders. On each turn you can explore, test drill, build things, check your mines or trade stocks.
Exploration can be done in four different ways: 'aerial', 'ground', 'gravi' or 'test drill'. The stock market contains 13 different companies (not counting player-owned companies) whose shares can be traded.
