Vagan Attack is a video game in the strategy genre and published by Atlantis Software Limited originally released in 1985. It is currently playable on Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, ZX Spectrum.
As a Federation commander, you are in control of your Andromeda ship when the Vagan warrior race attacks. Only your speed in man management and combat strategy can save your presence in the galaxy (consisting of 4096 sectors across the 64 quadrants) in this Star Trek-influenced game.
In all phases you have many commands at your disposal, which are typed using 2-letter codes. Instructions include activating the propulsion engines, firing one of your weapons, viewing the scanner to get a short or long range view of the area, or viewing a damage report. Your weapons supply is recharged and damage is repaired by docking at a Starbase. Time passes as you make your decisions, and attacks on Starbases must be repulsed within set time limits.
