Description Vampyr: Talisman of Invocation
Vampyr is one of the best RPGs from EGA: The Talisman of Invocation is a single-player RPG in the same vein as Ultima IV, set in the fantasy world of Quilinor.
The storyline is nothing earth-shattering (as an adventurer, you must save the world from certain destruction), but what makes Vampyr quite fun is the polished coding and a good balance between combat and exploration. As in other RPGs, you'll fight monsters, cast spells, pick locks or pockets, and talk to NPCs to get the lowdown on what to do next.
The game world is quite large for a free game, and the gameplay is not easy. The graphics are more than adequate, and the game has some nice surprises that will make you want to see what happens next. It's not a must-play game, but it's a competent gem that's worth a look for fans of the genre. Recommended.
