Viking Raiders is a video game in the strategy genre and published by Firebird Software originally released in 1984. It is currently playable on ZX Spectrum.
ZX Spectrum game Viking Raiders was released in 1984 by British games company Elite Systems Ltd. The game is set in the Viking age and tasks the player with leading a group of Viking warriors in their quest to conquer the British Isles.
The game is presented in a top-down view and is played using a joystick or keyboard. The player controls a group of up to eight Viking warriors, each of which can be individually selected. The objective of the game is to guide the Vikings to the British Isles and defeat the enemy forces there.
The game is split into four levels, each of which is divided into a number of stages. The first level sees the player sailing to the British Isles, the second level sees the player fighting their way through the enemy forces, the third level sees the player infiltrating enemy strongholds, and the fourth and final level sees the player fighting the enemy leader.
Upon defeating the enemy leader, the player is victorious and the game ends.
