Description Windoze
Windoze is a variation of Columns that pokes fun at Microsoft's popular operating system, as evidenced by the use of the Usenet buzzword for that operating system at the time. The familiar colored blocks are replaced by several Windows 3. x icons, which descend from the top in groups of three and stack at the bottom.
The triplets can be moved, flipped and rotated as they fall, and points are scored by forming rows, columns or diagonals of 3 or more identical icons, thus removing them from the stack. The action speeds up as you go along, and every 1000 points a special 'joker' block appears: if you tap it on an icon, its identical siblings will be removed at a stroke.
The source code, written in XPL0 (a Pascal variant) and assembler, is included. Despite its appearance, Windoze is a DOS game - as the author states, 'it does not require the Microsoft version of Windows, as it has more than enough icons on its own'.
