Description Wing Commander
The Confederacy has been at war with the Kilrathi for the past 20 years, and you have just joined the Vega campaign. You're a second lieutenant fresh out of the Academy, with a good job under your belt. You are assigned to the Tiger Claw, the flagship of the Confederation fleet. Will you help the Confederation achieve victory or will you go down in infamy?
Wing Commander is a space combat simulator interspersed with shipboard dialogues. On board the ship, you can save/load the game, visit the bar to find out the latest gossip, or move on to the next mission briefing, and the 3D space combat portion.
In 3D space combat you are seated in the cockpit, where you control the ship such as roll, turn, climb/descent, afterburner, as well as firing weapons and launching missiles. There are four different ships on the Confed side, each with different flight characteristics and armament. You will have a co-pilot in each mission and you must keep him alive, as he will help you if you give the right orders. You can also outwit the enemy. You will fight against various types of enemy fighters and capital ships, and you will even fight against some Kilrathi aces.
When the mission is completed, land back on the ship and get ready for the next one. The campaign tree has winning and losing paths.
