Xoldiers

Xoldiers is a video game in the action genre developed by Cactus Software and published by Cactus Software originally released in 2008. It is currently playable on Windows.

Xoldiers is a shooting game in which you direct nine 'Xoldiers' to break through enemy defenses, such as cannons and tanks that shoot at you from time to time, garages that drop blinding trucks, and barracks that spit out endless enemy infantry, with the goal of destroying all enemy bases.

The soldiers, controlled by the arrow keys, take off in unison. They are equipped with machine guns, a limited number of grenades and, if they duck when given the command, they will not be hit by some attacks, but will not be able to move or attack. The xoldier will die if hit by enemy fire, but will be able to pass through narrow corridors reducing the number of troops. The xoldier can only fire and throw grenades in the right direction, which often causes tactical problems.

Players can earn scores, mostly by destroying enemies in succession. The game includes an online highscore table and a level editor.
