Description Zap'em

Zap'em is an 'old skool' shooting game by IBM coded in BASIC, one of their most disappointing releases.

MobyGames' description is as follows: 'Zap'em is a single player action game. You control a spaceship on the left side of the screen that can move up or down and shoot lasers. Towards you will come from the right numerous enemy ships. You have to shoot as many enemies as you can to score points. While many of the enemy ships only need one shot to be destroyed, some will require multiple hits and a few will even be ghost ships and may temporarily disappear. Your ship has a limited amount of fuel that will steadily decrease; the game ends when you have no more fuel left'. Boring and very repetitive, there's nothing in Zap'em that won't make you miss Defender and other Atari classics after a while. Not recommended at all, unless you like collecting action games composed solely of ASCII characters.
