Description Zephyr

Zephyr is a futuristic game that combines elements of first-person shooter and racing, set in outer space. The premise of the game is that in the 24th century mankind has overpopulated the earth and is forced to settle on different worlds in the galaxy in search of resources and space. The world of the future, however, is not a happy one, and is ruled by rival ultra-giant corporations fighting each other for the rights to settle and exploit the worlds. Battles for those rights are conducted through vehicular combat staged on the Interplanetary Battle Circuit, and races are fought in hovercraft-like vehicles called 'Zephyrs'.

The player steps into the shoes of a Zephyrpilot and races through a set of linear, plot-related missions fighting for the corporation of their choice. Each offers a custom Zephyr and each has advantages and disadvantages. You have to race through labyrinthine cyberpunk locations (wastelands, cities, etc.) viewed from a first-person perspective and shoot your opponents with a standalone turret-mounted cannon, collecting power-ups such as energy, shields, etc. to win the races.
