Africa Gardens

Africa Gardens is a video game in the adventure genre and published by Gilsoft originally released in 1984. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

Africa Gardens is a text-only adventure game written with 'The Quill' adventure generator.

The game is set in an old Victorian hotel. The game begins with a message from the hotel management welcoming the player to Africa Gardens and wishing him a pleasant stay. Ominously it concludes, 'In fact, Mr. Robinson hopes that you will be one of his many guests who never feel they can leave. '
This leads the player straight into the heart of the story, the mystery of Africa Gardens and its missing guests.

As the player explores the hotel, they come across objects that they can collect. However, since only a couple of objects can be carried at a time, an important part of the game is remembering where the objects are and making sure the player has the correct object in his possession before attempting anything risky.

The game keeps score as the player progresses, certain actions will increase the score, for example, by 5%, while others will decrease it. The game also has a save function and can save to tape or disk.

It is possible that we have multiple downloads available when different versions exist.
