Amaranth

Amaranth is a video game in the action genre developed by Fuga System Corp. and published by Fuga System Corp. originally released in 1990. It is currently playable on PC-98.

There is trouble in the kingdom of Stellar. The lovely princess has disappeared and the king sends his best men to investigate. All they find at the place where the princess has vanished is a confused young man who has lost his memory and only knows her name: Liann. As he might still have some connection to the princess's disappearance, the king sends Liann in search of her. And perhaps along the way, the boy will be able to find the magic flower called Amaranth, which restores people's memories. . .

Amaranth is a role-playing game with action-based combat. Enemies appear randomly, and Liann and her party members are taken to a separate battle screen. Attacks are performed by colliding with enemies, as in the Ys series. The other party members are controlled by the AI. Equipment and items can be purchased from stores in town, and heroes level up in the usual RPG fashion.
