Ant Attack is an action game that innovated the use of three degrees of freedom for an isometric perspective game. The free-to-explore city, identified in the inlay blurb as Antescher, a combination of Ant and Escher, the famous visual paradox artist, is teeming with deadly giant ants. The player controls either a boy or a girl and runs around the city trying to find his or her missing half while jumping on structures to avoid the ants, or fights the insects by jumping on them or throwing grenades. When the hostage is found, the protagonist has to guide him to safety. Then the next round begins, with greater difficulty and with the hostage located at another point. The perspective can be changed to four views rotated by 90 degrees.
