Ballbreaker II is a video game in the action genre and published by CRL Group PLC originally released in 1988. It is currently playable on Amstrad CPC.
Ball Breaker II is a variant of Breakout. This means that the player controls a paddle, fixed on the right side of the screen and which can only move vertically, which is used to bounce a ball on the playing field or to prevent it from falling off the screen, respectively. On the playing field there are a number of blocks that vaporize when hit by the ball. The objective is to eliminate all the blocks.
The specialty of this variant is the use of an isometric perspective. While the ball and paddle do not leave the bottom plane, the blocks are stacked. The upper blocks fall when the lower blocks disappear. The only significant difference with the predecessor is the 30 new levels.
