Description Quinx
Quinx is a top-down single-screen game in which you play Arthur Crown, stressed by his final exams in Food Economics at the London School of Economics. The stress has led Arthur to dream at night of Inkworms and a large piece of paper on which he is standing and which must be protected from the worms. The worms appear next to the paper and begin to move around it leaving a trail of ink. Arthur has to run around the paper and hit the worms to kill them and try to prevent them from getting to the other side of the paper. Any remaining ink trails can be erased with a limited use of Tippex.
If a worm reaches the other side, it becomes a paper-eating monster and eats part of the paper, and when it reaches an edge, it explodes. When the worms move across the paper, a bottle of Quinx is emptied and when it is emptied, the part of the paper Arthur is on changes color and if the size is less than 25% of the last color change, it is game over. Fruit occasionally appears on one side of the screen and you have to pick it up or you lose points, but the more fruit you pick up, the more Arthur has to touch a toothbrush or a dentist makes an appearance. You can also answer a ringing phone, but it can be good news or bad news.
