Description Virus Rage

Virus Rage belongs to an unusual class of games: a medical-themed action shooter: the player is in control of a tiny hypodermic syringe, maneuvering within the confines of a microscopic grid of cells. The problem: your poor patient is suffering from a viral infection that is rapidly mutating. The solution: kill the contaminating agents by destroying the active nuclei at each level.

These cores are surrounded by living, rapidly multiplying viral cells, and your syringe can shoot pellets that turn them dead; you shut down an active core by extinguishing all the living cells around it. However, there's a catch: if you accidentally shoot directly into the nucleus, you'll kill the patient . . with a spooky, face-melting animation. Viruses counterattack with mutated strains, which prowl around reviving viral cells (and killing the player on contact); there are also dormant cores that enemies can awaken to an active state. The cores can also release noxious spores that seek out our meddling doctor with lethal intent.

Once the disease is eliminated, you're off to disinfect a new location. The game keeps track of the 15 highest scores, and features a Practice mode for less experienced practitioners.
