Description Baseball
This computerized variant of Baseball - based on an old BASIC adaptation from 1973 - brings the sport to your computer screen using only text. The computer and player manage opposing teams and flip a coin for the starting position. All inputs consist of numbers: when the player's team takes the field, the pitcher's possible pitches are numbered from 1 to 7 (fastball, curveball, slider, sinker, changeup, knuckleball, screwball). When the team is at bat, the possible actions are 1 through 4 (batter takes pitch, batter walks, batter bunts, lead runner steals - if on base). The results of each play are described on the screen, and after each half inning the score is updated.
