Blue: Will to Power is a video game in the role-playing (rpg) genre developed by Kinpukurin and published by Kinpukurin originally released in 1992. It is currently playable on FM Towns.
The Kingdom of Isht was the most powerful kingdom on the continent and considered itself the guardian of peace. However, that peace was shattered when its northern neighbor, Seden, invaded without warning. After a prolonged war, Jean, a knight of Isht, married Claire, daughter of the Duke of Seden, who was strong in battle and skilled in diplomacy, thus consolidating the peaceful coexistence of the two countries. However, Jean lost his life in a rebellion that broke out in Seden. Blessed by his noble ancestors, his son must follow in his footsteps and bring peace and glory to his homeland.
Blue Will to Power is a Japanese-style RPG with many of the traditional elements of the genre, such as top-down world map navigation, turn-based combat, and a simple level system. One notable feature it shares with other Kinkakuji RPGs is the conversation system. Each NPC can be asked for one of four things: information, join a group, negotiate, or fight. Many NPCs will agree to join your party, but they can be quite numerous.
