Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon

Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon is a video game in the adventure genre developed by Revolution Software Ltd. and published by THQ Inc. originally released in 2003. It is currently playable on Windows.

It took no less than six years for the third installment of the Broken Sword series to see the light of day. The first two games (The Shadow of the Templars and The Smoking Mirror) delved into Templar and Mayan mythology. This time, George Stobbart and Nico Collard go after the Voynich Manuscript to unravel its mysteries.

The Sleeping Dragon moves away from the 2D point-and-click concept of the previous games and presents a fully 3D world, with a camera that does not rotate, but uses fixed cinematic perspectives, combined with full 5.1 sound. In the Windows version, the game is no longer controlled with the mouse, but with the keyboard, both for character movement and for all actions. The player alternately controls either George or Nico. In addition to the typical adventures, such as exploration, conversations and searching for and combining objects, there are also some action sequences. Characters can crouch, sneak, hang from ledges and move boxes to reach higher areas.

Locations visited throughout the game include the Congo, Paris, England, the Czech Republic and Egypt.
