Description Bugs!
Bugs! is a free text-mode clone of Centipede written in Pascal (some versions include the source code). A horde of bugs is invading, and the only cure is an inexhaustible supply of ASCII arrows, fired from a gun that can move along a narrow band at the bottom of the playing field.
An assortment of nasty critters infest the mushroom-lit field: the segmented centipede, which descends from the top, and whose trajectory depends on mushroom placement; the spider, which bounces along the bottom and consumes the scattered mushrooms; the flea, which drops down to deposit new growths; and the scorpion, which poisons any mushroom in its path. Mushrooms can be used as cover, or fired to control enemy movement and clear a line of fire. When poisoned, they knock the centipede's segments to the bottom.
Bugs! differs from the original by modifying some details of the enemies' behavior, but mostly by giving the player only one life: a close encounter with a bug means the end of our brave exterminator.
