Description Chex Quest

Chex Quest is a 3D FPS running on a modified DOOM engine.

The planet Bazoik has been invaded by Flemoids - mucous-looking alien creatures that are consuming all the nutritious food of the IFC (Intergalactic Cereal Federation). You, a large, square-shaped man, must enter and rid the various levels of the assorted green Flemoids.

Your armament starts with a Bootspork (which can be upgraded to a Super Bootspork) and a small Zorcher (which uses Zorch energy). The Zorcher can, of course, be upgraded to terrifying levels.... Apparently, the Zorch is an interdimensional substance, as enough of it can 'send a Phlemoid back to its home world'.

You can put on armor, of course - the armor is a Chex kibble (or a Super Chex kibble). This will protect you from the boogers the Phlemoids snort at you.

The opening contains a warning for concerned parents, stating that the game is non-violent; to keep children's interest, the violence was replaced with (and here they tried to be delicate) disgusting booger sounds. The character never 'dies', but is immobilized by being covered in snot from head to toe.

Healthy eating habits are also supposedly reinforced: health is regained by eating a bowl of fruit (10% energy), a bowl of vegetables (25%), a glass of water (5%), or.... yes... 'a full breakfast', with a bowl of cereal (presumably Chex), a piece of toast, a glass of milk and a piece of fruit, for a complete health boost.
