Crusher Castle II

Crusher Castle II is a video game in the action genre developed by Soleau Software, Inc. and published by Soleau Software, Inc. originally released in 1993. It is currently playable on DOS.

Crusher Castle II is an action game in which a character has to escape from a haunted castle by eliminating ghosts and collecting tools and treasures. The game is a sequel to an earlier version called Crusher by the same company. There are 25 rooms arranged in a 5x5 square, with the character starting the game in the center. When a certain score of 10,000 points is reached, an extra life and some information is provided to help escape the castle.

The gameplay is a mix of Soko-ban and Pac-Man, as there are a series of ghosts chasing the character in each room, which are blocked by pushing boxes in their way. If the ghosts reach them, you lose a life. Each step you take consumes a little of the candle needed to survive, and crossing to another room consumes a large amount of the candle. You can't pull boxes, but instead you have explosives to destroy them, if you find yourself boxed in. There are point rewards for catching the ghosts, as well as earning candles when they disappear.

In each room there are also gold coins, i.e. extra points, and cabinets that hold a variety of things, both good and bad, some are useless and some lead to other rooms. You need to register the game to enable the save game function, otherwise you will have to restart when you run out of lives or candles.
