Description Statix
Apparently, even with Tetris from over 5 years ago when this game was made, there were new things to do with the blocks that had to fall from the top of the screen being correctly placed, and grouped in lines of 3 (horizontally, vertically or diagonally), so that those blocks would disappear and cause others to fall to fill in the gaps. In Statix you have to balance the blocks on a seesaw, which has a central pivot that starts several notches from the ground.
The balance is adjusted based on the number of blocks in each column, which means that removing vertical matches from the far end of the play area has a particularly dramatic effect. If you get too unbalanced, it's game over. Things are also complicated by the limited amount of blocks that can be supported: if you go over, the seesaw goes down a step, giving you less leeway with the evenness of the blocks.
There is a two-player mode where each player has access to half of the seesaw, and the player whose end is exceeded loses. Sometimes you need to cooperate to keep the game alive, and other times you must set up a combo on your end, causing it to plummet on your opponent.
