This game is the inspiration, both directly and indirectly, of arcade dungeon crawlers such as The RamJam Corporation's version of Dandy, Dark Chambers and Gauntlet.
You, and up to three of your friends, find yourselves in a dungeon full of monsters. You must fight your way through, collecting food and treasure while destroying the monsters. Each time a monster touches you, you lose energy. You can collect food, which you can eat to recover energy. Once you reach the end of the dungeon level, you descend to the next level. If you are playing in multiplayer mode and one of you dies, the other player(s) can revive their fallen companion by shooting a heart found in the level. If there are no fallen companions and the heart is shot, a monster will appear.
