Dark Seraphim

Dark Seraphim is a video game in the action genre developed by Kure Software Koubou and published by Kure Software Koubou originally released in 1995. It is currently playable on PC-98.

God created paradise, where the angels lived, and Earth, populated by humans. The humans were not happy with their fate and rebelled against God. As a result, demons invaded the Earth, led by Satan himself. The proud humans of the city of Sodom began to build the Tower of Babel (sic), trying to reach the heavens. God sent a high-ranking seraph named Alucard to reason with the humans. However, the archangel Michael thought otherwise, thinking that humans did not deserve any forgiveness. Meanwhile, the Satan has his own plans . . .

Dark Seraphim is an action role-playing game. The player manages Alucard through locations from top to bottom. When enemies attack, the player is taken to a separate battle screen. As Alucard, it is possible to move freely and attack enemies by simply bumping into them. Running to the edge of the screen allows the hero to escape. During battles, Alucard is usually surrounded by a large number of enemies; but friendly characters can join him and fight by his side. By gaining experience points from defeated enemies, Alucard can level up and become stronger.
