Devastator is a small first-person space shooter featured in the August 1984 issue of Compute magazine!
The premise: a menacing alien ship called Devastator has deployed several ships sent to place detonating charges on Earth. As the last line of defense, your job is to shoot them down. You engage one ship at a time, and you have 10 seconds to shoot it down before it sets the charge. Earth takes 10 charges to explode, which means you win the game after shooting down 10 ships.
A quirky little game that is most notable for its historical significance as one of the first PC games distributed with a magazine.
