Description Wrath of Earth

One of the most underrated and underrated games in history, Wrath of Earth is a fun futuristic FPS with quite a few innovations rarely seen in current 3D-accelerated games.

You play a male or female commander who is sent to investigate the chaotic situation in the mining colony of Aragon, where mining robots are running wild, most of the humans are dead and an alien invasion is rumored. The gameplay resembles that of SSI's Cyclones, but with less detail. The player views the game world from their biosuit, which offers a plethora of status indicators, including 6 different gauges showing key stats, from your health to your radiation level to your armor. Weapons you pick up can be viewed in close-up, giving you detailed stats, such as the type of ammo needed, damage power relative to other weapons, etc. Your biosuit also has many interesting instruments, such as an infrared beacon and sonar. On-screen reticles automatically identify objects and lock on to targets similar to System Shock, except that in Wrath of Earth you can't jump or look up or down, as the engine is not truly 3D. The game also features many Strife-like NPCs, guided weapons, and many well-designed levels, both indoors and outdoors.

Overall, Wrath of Earth is a solid FPS highly recommended for anyone who likes action games. Unfortunately, it received very little attention when it was first released, largely due to a lack of marketing and its shareware status.
