Description Devil Assault

Devil Assault is, as the name suggests, based on Imagic's popular Demon Attack, a frantic fixed-screen shooter.

The game is played in waves:The first wave is the bombing wave. Three monstrous space birds fly around and shoot at you. Each time you shoot one, it regenerates, until its ranks are reduced enough. Then comes another wave of bombardment. The robot wave is similar, but with robots with more intricate movement patterns. Here you must not let your trigger finger rest, because the robots will try to walk alongside you where you can't reach them with your bullets. The shoot 'em up level features enemies that jump across the screen. Like many other primitive shoot'em'ups (although this one is much less primitive than many others), you only have one bullet on screen at all times, and it follows your ship left and right. This turns out to be an important part of the gameplay, as it alters the way you time your shot and even allows you to cross your bullet between enemies to hit those higher up.
