Die Sternenfahrer von Catan is a video game in the strategy genre developed by Virtual X-citement and published by Ravensburger Interactive Media GmbH originally released in 2000. It is currently playable on Windows.

Die Sternenfahrer von Catan is a modified version of the board game of the same name. Most of the game takes place in the command center of a starship, where four officers represent the available actions, such as trading and construction. A two-dimensional map of the playing field is also drawn.

As expected, the game begins with the selection of a planet and the establishment of a colony. The game uses five resources (ore, fuel, food, carbon, and raw materials) to construct buildings and upgrade spacecraft. Each planet has two resources, and if you need a resource that is not available, you can trade with other players or aliens.

The entire game progresses in real time, so there is a waiting period when flying to other planets. Along the way, you can come into contact with other species or fight pirates. The game offers 15 single-player and 7 multiplayer missions with different objectives, such as building a certain number of colonies, establishing a trade network or gaining popularity points.
