Donkey King is one of those shameless Donkey Kong clones, for systems that never received an official port. For those not familiar with the Nintendo original, it is the first game to feature Mario, and one of the first platform games. In each level, at the top of a construction site, Mario must climb up to the great ape and free a damsel in distress. The giant ape throws obstacles that Mario must avoid, in addition to the hostile environment containing fires and conveyor belts. Donkey King features all the stages from the original Donkey Kong, known here as the Barrels, Pegs, Jacks and Conveyor Belts screens. It has even retained the cutscenes and hairstyle of the beloved Mario.
A unique feature of this version is the option to play in three different color modes: green, buff or black and white.
