Eagles

Eagles is a video game in the action genre developed by Danish Designs and published by Hewson Consultants Ltd. originally released in 1987. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

In Eagles, two robot-controlled spaceships have to repel an alien invasion. To do so, they traverse 24 side-scrolling levels and kill everything in their path. Small droids also have to be collected, which can be delivered at special delivery points along the way. For five droids, players receive a devastator that destroys all on-screen opposition except fireballs. In addition to the usual alien formations, there are also several individual enemies that take a lot of hits. While some attacks result in instant death, most reduce the life bar.

The game screen is always split horizontally in two and the second ship is controlled by a second player or by the AI. In the case of two players, the game features two configurations: cooperative or versus. This only affects whether the life bar and high score points are shared or separated. In between the main levels are bonus levels in which players take control of two hostile ships and fight for points.
